Dear Friend: On behalf of the American Hellenic Institute (AHI) and the American Hellenic Institute-Athens Chapter, we write to seek your support regarding our forthcoming Inaugural AHI Hellenic Heritage and National Public Service Awards Gala Dinner in Athens. The gala will take place on Tuesday, June 7, 2005, at the Grand Bretagne Hotel in conjunction with our annual AHI delegation visit to Athens from the United States. The inaugural honoree will be the distinguished former President of Greece, Constantine Stephanopoulos. In future years, the gala will honor individuals from Greece who have distinguished themselves in their chosen fields of endeavor and who have helped to promote and facilitate a strong U.S.-Greece relationship mutual benefit. This gala will also assist us in our fundraising so that we may continue to expand our numerous programs and policy agenda in support of issues that are important in strengthening U.S. relations with Greece. The funds from the gala will also be used to assist our AHI-Athens Chapter to make it a more viable entity in our expanding agenda. Therefore, we are reaching out to you at this time to ask for your assistance with this most important endeavor. Specifically, we would like to request your support of this gala by agreeing to be a supporter in one of the 'Sponsor Categories" listed in this packet. By supporting our gala, you will be supporting the AHI and our objectives and also helping to honor a distinguished statesman of Modern Greece, a man who has left his indelible mark in forging Greece ahead into this new millennium. Attached to this packet is a contribution form for your convenience. We thank you for your consideration of this appeal. Whatever you can give to this request will be deeply appreciated. Warmest regards. Sincerely, |
